Vocal health issues are a common occurrence in professional careers, caused for example by inefficient singing technique, illness, genetics, or excessive vocal use. The effect of a vocal health issue can be hugely disruptive to a singer.
As a vocal health specialist I work to identify the issue, the cause, and the quickest, most maintainable path to recovery. Whilst every singer is different, the recovery for most vocal issues is generally months rather than years. To start your recovery, find out my singing voice rehabilitation sessions. Rehabilitating Your VoiceMost voice disorders are caused by or exacerbated by suboptimal vocal technique. I work with singers to focus on rehabilitating the voice and correct technical issues to prevent problems from reoccurring.
For a number of years I have specialised in vocal health for singers - one of only a few who do so in New South Wales - and have worked with countless clients. Every week I deal with amateur and professional singers whose careers have been stopped in their tracks by vocal discomfort or dysfunction. Voice DisordersVocal health conditions include:

How I can help
Most vocal issues can now be repaired or significantly improved through voice therapy and training - surgery is rarely required.
In conjunction with your voice team, including your ENT laryngologist and speech pathologist, I aim to help you achieve the quickest recovery possible. Many voice disorders or difficulties are known as Functional Disorders - meaning that they are caused by inefficient vocal use. I not only specialise in helping to rehabilitate voices but also in correcting the inefficiencies that caused the difficulty in the first place, thus ensuring your voice stays healthy in the future as well.
I am passionate about helping vocalists recover from vocal difficulties in a caring environment, working to help put the control of your singing voice back into your hands.
